This is a first. It tasted like dish soap. Can a beer nerd explain this? A post shared by Louis J. Baton, III Esq. (@louiebaton) on Mar 20, 2016 at 11:51pm PDT

When WonderCon was still a San Francisco thing, we checked out the panel for the first Fantastic Four movie (FOX). Among the star-studded panel was Julian McMahon. One of the questions for Dr. Doom (McMahon) was if Galactus would be making an appearance. Obviously lacking any research whatsoever into the comics and characters, McMahon stuttered and replied "I don't know anything about your galacticus, but check out my Von Doom trucker hat." Pointing to his hat which was a reference to Dr. Doom's alias, Victor Von Doom, and also a play on the popular brand at the time "Von Dutch." A post shared by Louis J. Baton, III Esq. When I was a kid, my parents signed me up in a soccer league. Previous to that, I knew nothing about sports. I was only good at TV and Atari. On that first weekend game, I spent most of the time nervously avoiding playing time. Until coach put me in. I basically ran around pretending to get to the ball. Then, out of nowhere, the ball ended up by my feet. I saw the goal and kicked the ball in. The ball made it! I was a hero. I would be hoisted upon my teammates shoulders as they chanted my name. But it was our own team's goal. And I refuse to partake in any sport, particularly team, since. A post shared by Louis J. Baton, III Esq. (@louiebaton) on Mar 20, 2016 at 9:52am PDT

I don't normally eat seafood but this Seared Ora King Salmon with Browned Butter Couscous and Hazelnuts was good. Paired with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Ale. A post shared by Louis J. Baton, III Esq. (@louiebaton) on Mar 19, 2016 at 12:39am PDT

Since American Gladiators went off the air, Dan "Nitro" Clark has made a living off lending his name to trendy beer styles. A post shared by Louis J. Baton, III Esq. (@louiebaton) on Mar 18, 2016 at 1:15am PDT
